One of my friends cooked dinner, which was gourmet broccoli salad, pulled pork with brioche buns and sweet bbq sauce.

I still have bags of berries in my freezer. And the only occasion to make a pie this week was to bring it to a showing of Keanu Reeves’ “47 Ronin,” with my other two friends.
A friend of mine from Salem texted me one weekend:
“Dude, when are you coming over next? Salem is boring so you should come over and we’ll make a cake.”
My friend let me keep a portion of the leftover cookies from from our movie night, because eating six boxes in one sitting would have been obscene.
After a bizarre week, I needed a movie night with beer. My friend was more than happy to provide, along with girl scout cookies.
I made some popcorn, and we watched a bit of Tenali, a virtuous Indian cartoon for children with creepily animated characters.
In want of cinnamon rolls for my brunch, I toyed with the idea of making a cinnamon cake that required a special cinnamon bundt pan.
But I decided to crack into more of Saveur’s New Classics Cookbook collection to see what they suggested.
