So this weekend I decided to try out the Asian bakery in the Japanese supermarket.
The bakery is called Beard Papa’s (because silly Asian names) and they have cream puffs bigger than your fist that are almost always sold out.
But this Friday night I was pretty lucky.
There was a dulce de leche filled, eclair style cream puff ready just for me.
I was going to eat it while I shopped but decided I might want to photograph this experience later.
And once I ate the cream puff, it was good that I waited until I got home because it was kind of a tasty pornographic experience.
This cream puff, was thoroughly filled to the brim with custard and a thick salted caramel sauce.
One bite squeezed a bunch onto my hand and all over my face.
The choux was perfect, merely a shell for all that creamy goodness.
After I was done I wanted another one and could see why they are always sold out.
